One of the things that I am really trying to do these days on CF is promote great local, small businesses who are doing cool things. I am absolutely in love with Farm Story Meats.

Ray Schmidt, a young guy who works at Iowa State, owns the company. His family owns a farm in Williamsburg. The company is very forward-thinking, IMO. You buy meat directly from the farm and it's shipped straight to your house. He sent me some samples. I especially loved the jerky, but the chops and brats were amazing too.
