The award is given to the college basketball coach who displays the best moral character on and off the court. The award is named after the late Wake Forest head coach.

It may not be a widely known award, but hopefully it's something that can be used with recruits' parents and HS coaches to gain credibility.

Not that Prohm would run around blasting it from the rooftops but Small, Berry etc could set the stage for him.

That could be helpful with the right kind of parents.

Don't really know a lot about other coaches, especially outside the B12, but seems like Prohm deserves to be in the running, at the very least.

Nice recognition, regardless of the final result. Although that "T" that he picked up at West Virginia may cost him...

The best part was he didn't even elaborate or continue tp go off about why he got T'd up in the presser, just took responsibility and took the time to recognize how hard reffing is.

I've been impressed with his psuedo-tough love approach with players that aren't buying in, and in the end getting positive results.

Kind of makes guys like Coach K look bad for benching a guy for one game after multiple malicious events, and Self for sitting out a guy for one meaningless conference tourney game months after the incident.

Nice guy award is very meh, but if Drew can sell Baylor to momma's we can sell this to the family of recruits.
