I saw the two head coaches shake hands but didn't see the teams greet each other.
Did I just miss something or did the Iowa Team simply join hands and strut across the field to claim the trophy?

No need to dis the hoks just because they like to hold hands and strut around.

Iowa did their swarm thing to get the trophy, as a team. Classy on their part.

I did notice #68 (Brian Seda?) try and walk through Iowa's swarm to the trophy, then shove an Iowa player. He seems like a real classy guy.

And what do you think the isu players did last year in Kinnick?

I seem to recall every ISU player finding every Iowa player and telling them how grateful they were for being on the same field, followed by speeches to the crowd about how much fun they had..

Then I'm pretty sure keg stands ensued.

Might be thinking of a different game.

Every trophy game where the trophy changes hands is basically a rush across the field to claim the trophy. We only have this one but Minnesota and Iowa have several of them with other teams and it is always like this. Just part of the trophy thing.

Don't remember the opponent or trophy but when the English kicker for the Gophers made the winning kick a few years back he immediately rushed for the trophy on the sidelines. Thought it was pretty cool this soccer guy was so into the rivalry here.

I always wondered this, why must the Hawks always hold hands with each other whenever they go places together?
Running onto the field, getting a trophy, etc. Don't say it shows team unity or is classy. You don't have to hold hands to show those things. I don't know, I just think it looks weird and stupid.

This happens in every trophy game. We did the same thing in Iowa City last year.

Missouri cheats.
I still think we need more trophy games....it impresses recruits like that real hansom 2001 Insight.com.org.net Bowl Bowling pin thing we got.
Why not a trophy with Kansas State? A "Farmageddon" trophy to finally emblazon our rights to that. We could have a young farmer with a shock of wheat kneeling at the feet of his young son and wife explaining to them the chemicals used to produce that wheat, U.S. government subsidies, and how that wheat would soon be given by Ivy League Elites to feed people who fundamentally hate us and seek to destroy us.

I thought it was really cool what Iowa did. Most years the winning team of any rivalry game runs to the trophy like a bunch of jack a--es. Iowa showed class by going together hand in hand as a team.

Yeah, how dare a team full of 18-22 year olds get excited for beating a rival and wanting to celebrate.

We have no reason to *****. Several of our players that were on the field for the last snap jogged to the locker room before the clock was out.

I thought the swarm to the trophy was actually neat on iowa's part.
