So be it. First priority is always an ISU win. If it means KU wins another championship then that's on K State for pissing it away. They have the inside track and I think they'll probably hang on.

I looked at the same scenarios earlier and those all looked pretty reasonable.

I think KSU could go 3-0, but going 2-1 isn't a stretch.

KU could drop one, but this is the time of year when they are the team that doesn't drop a dumb one.

Tech will likely beat OSU and then the games @TCU and home vs TX are probably favoring Tech.

I'm always rooting for us to win, but it would be bittersweet if it also helps KU. Some want us to be the team that dethrones KU and I completely get that, but I don't want to have to deal with another year of KU fans congratulating themselves and the whole "If KU didn't get knocked off this year, it will never happen" crap.
In my view, it's more likely that all three lose a game resulting in a two-way tie. But, we'll have to see how it plays out. The sphincters are surely going to tighten on K-State and TxT.

I am already dreading this possible scenario:

1) K-St. goes 2-1 in its last 3 games and finishes 13-5. Possible.
2) KU wins its last 3 games and finishes 13-5. Likely.
3) TTech wins its next 3 games and comes into Hilton for its final game at 13-4. Likely.

4) If ISU beats TTech, KU continues it conference title win streak.

I don't know if my brain can handle such a quandary.

???

Again, IDGAF if KU wins the conference title again. I DO GAF if it's NOT us.

Go Cyclones.

Go Jayhawks.

Running through 100k simulations, it looks like there's an 18% chance that Iowa State beating Tech in the last game of the season would give Kansas a share of the Big 12 title.

Chances of that scenario playing out are remote. Thus, your brain is probably secure.

I’m not sure. The pressure to break the streak has gotten to much better teams that this Wildcat squad. Baylor at home and TCU on the road are anything but sure wins.

It is too late to talk about helping KU. We already did them an enormous favor by beating KSU and losing to BU and TCUx2. We wounded KSU just enough and took ourselves out.

I've been dreading that too, but if you think of it as a win-win it's much easier. Either ISU adds another strong home win to their resume, or we get to console ourselves with Jayhawk tears for months if not forever.

Texas Tech is really good.

They have been murdering people since their game in Lawrence.

Streak will end but they will suck out the conference tourney aided by a slew of bogus calls then they change the narrative with an or.

KUs record on the road is still abysmal so beating OSU and OU on the road is no given. But who cares, I just want ISU to win out and earn a good seed for the NCAA tourney. I neither car about the streak or who brakes it. Honestly no one will remember who brakes it, that is way overstated.

I don't think KU going 13-5 is LIKELY. This is the same team that got drilled at TT by 30, lost in Ames by 17, lost at WVU, lost at KSU, lost at Texas by 10. Only road wins at Baylor and TCU both by 5 points. The chances of one of the OK schools beating them are pretty high me thinks.

I don’t know why people like KSU and TTU so much more than they like KU.

Only speaking for myself, but I'd like the streak to die and knock the arrogance off KU's fan base. Beyond that, I don't care. I deal with a ton of KU fans down here. Most are pretty decent and complimentary of ISU and pretty knowledgeable, but there is still that arrogance that hangs around them all like cheap cigarette smoke. I want to air out the room.

Plus, the longer the streak goes on the more it gets in the head of the other teams. KU gets help from every other team choking every year. Knock that air of invincibility off and I think we see a little more parity at the top like the old Big 8 days. KU would still win their fair share, of course, but someone needs to prove they can be beaten.
