I regularly listen to various sport related podcasts. I have never found a good non sports topic podcast to listen to. What do you guys listen to?

My current list (not a big fan of serial killers, though I've heard Serial is a good one)...

Cyclone Fanatic
Hawkeye Nation (mostly for the meltdown schadenfreude when they lose big games)
The Bill Simmons Podcast
The Cracked Podcast
538 Elections
Hot Takedown
What's the Point
Freakonomix Radio
Intelligence^2 U.S. Debates
Lore
Strange Matters Podcast
Stuff You Missed in History Class
Common Sense with Dan Carlin
Dan Carlin's Hardcore History

I'd really recommend the last one, in particular. Think what you want of his politics, but his skill at historical oratory and telling a story is something to behold.

I agree with mj4cy. Find something centered around one of your hobbies.

A few I listen to are below.

Sports:
-Cyclone Fanatic
-KXnO Sports Fanatics (when ISU did something worth listening to)
-Murph & Andy podcast (when ISU did something worth listening to)
-I would like to add the Cyclone Insider thing that CW does with the DM Register, but the only way I have found to listen is streaming though the SoundCloud site.

Brainy Stuff:
-Dan Carlin's Hardcore History
-StarTalk Radio
-Stuff You Should Know
-The Infinite Monkey Cage

Nerdy/Comedy Talk shows with random guests ranging from Actors, Comedians, Scientists, Historians, etc:
-The Joe Rogan Experience
-The Nerdist

Gimlet has some good ones. I really enjoy Reply All which is random stories about the internet. Start with #29 The Takeover -- it is great.

I just started getting into the Joe Rogan Experience and I really love the random guests, such a wide variety.

If you're interested, a few of my favorites
-Michael Wood - Ex Baltimore COP, very open and honest opinion on race, police, drugs and the perpetual cycle
-Lance Armstrong - Open discussion on how everything started and snowballed and a look at how he and his family are dealing with the aftermath
-Jocko Willink - In depth look at being a navy seal in a leadership role, IRAQ war and partnering with their soldiers
- Steve-0 - This was just an insane detail at how he got started doing stunts, getting paid being a live guinea pig, drug addiction and his last 7 years of sobriety.

I'd be interested to hear others favorites.

Adam Carolla is the number 1 podcast in the world. I love it. He records one everyday pretty much and as long as you like his humor, it's great.

Kevin Pollacks chat show is cool. Has tons of great guests and gets very in depth with them. Huge archive too

The Chive podcast is good. Usually cool guests.

Serial is is great and Undisclosed is very interesting if you like the Adnan Syed trial.

I'm not going to go into the Political ones, but I'm also a fan of Dan Carlin. Both are pretty good.

The Nerdist is kinda stupid, but a good brainless listen.

Basic Brewing Radio is a good one. I also listen to Homebrew Happy Hour, but it's more fluff and the host is a little . . . weird?

CF and Cyclone Slant from Ames Trib is good, but they haven't done one in a while?

Dave Ramsey is good from time to time. Change of pace

I like Dan Carlin's common sense one for the perspectives he has. The hardcore history ones sound good, but they're just so long I can't get into them with the time I have to listen.

It's political/current eventy, but I'm really into unfilter right now. Since amazing stuff these guys can dig up and make the mainstream media and our politicians look ridiculous.
