As always, your pod stimulated responses:

1. Texas Tech's conditioning program must be fantastic. I love the line about them being like us, except bigger and stronger at ever position. And about all of them looking like linebackers. Which leads me to the natural next question. Steroids?

2. Not enough attention has been paid to our bad passing. Tech had much better passing, including on the interior. We throw too many sloppy, soft, and no-look passes. Tech must have had 20 points on break-aways due to our bad passes. Hard to beat Tech when you give them 20 points and don't even take shots on our ends.

3. Did you really say that we wouldn't be an NCAA team without Jaden Walker? I like the kid and he has done a few nice things, but that seemed like a bit of a stretch.

I don't know enough x & o's, but it seems like too many times we pass it around, because "that's what the offense calls for" regardless if the person is open or jumping the lane.

Seems like given that fact, there SHOULD be opportunities for back cuts/slips.

I don't know if that's a talent, skill, vision or coaching issue, nor I'd what I'm seeing is accurate. But found myself saying "you can't just pass it to a guy who's not open bc that's where you want the ball to go" numerous times.

Yeah this is my problem with the lazy “we just don’t have shooters” analysis. In Hilton Adams and TTU showed that you defend ISU as if we do have shooters until you pay the price for extending. It still hasn’t happened consistently, and ISU has been easy to defend. It’s true that this team doesn’t have shooters and will not be a consistently good offensive team. But it does not need to be a historically bad offense.

He was on the ball on the inbounds that Brock tipped for the go-ahead vs. WV that Walker likely affected and then didn't he have a big defensive stop vs. KSU?

Those two wins sealed the deal and needed those plays to make it happen.

I think a big part is that most guys on the roster just aren't comfortable with the ball under pressure. Totally agree that they get stuck on where the ball is "supposed" to rotate and seem to get flustered or force it when the defender is overplaying that pass. I'm guessing either through the portal or development over the off-season, having guys be more capable of exploiting that kind of defense (or even just absorbing the pressure) will be a major focus point.

I believe its a TALENT ISSUE...Not enough good players let along Great Shooters. I don't see anybody on this team who resembles Monte Morris or the great one George Niang...

We are stuck here if RECRUITING DOESN'T GET A WHOLE LOT BETTER!

What did he contribute on the inbounds play? All Brockington.

And Pack basically just fell down at KState.

I like walker and his progress but he is surely a work in progress more so than anyone else on the team, and I wouldn’t say he did anything except for being in right spot right time on both those plays.

His length made the passer have to adjust and be off target.

That gave Brockington a better angle to poke it away.

Being in the right spot at the right time is good.

It was really simple and exactly what it looked like. Me asking if any of others had actually listened to it and if CW was at all critical of the coaching. Sometimes things are as they appear.
