If you're myopic enough to only judge a basketball player's worth on stats alone, NWB is probably never going to impress you. If you're willing to allocate worth to getting the loose ball, playing defense, being sound all around, he certainly will. He has the physical skills to have an Ejim-like improvement over his junior and senior years, and even if he never develops into that type of scorer, he can help us win a lot of games.

Our fan base has been pretty rough on NWB but IMO he passes the eye test and I expect to see him have a much more active roll in the offense this year. It all starts with improving his 3 ball percentage. It's funny how quickly people forget how raw Ejim was his freshman and sophomore years.

Finishing at the basket too. He seems to literally do everything very well to get there.

1. Wigginton is the chalk pick. Don't sleep on Terrence Lewis.

2. Donovan Jackson. I think he's going to be the rock for this program early on. Honorable mention to Jeff Beverly, who at 6-6 and 250 is going to give the team some toughness in the paint and help fill the leadership void.

3. I don't think any returner will see a decline in production. Solomon Young might not play as many minutes just because there's a little more depth in the front court this year.

Newcomer: Wigginton

Surprise: Young. Not to ISU fans, but to fans of other schools. I bet he'll have the biggest jump in production.

Decline: Jackson. Points and TO's up, %'s down. He'll find himself less open as the focus of opposing defenses.
