Leaning tower is good, but it is like $22 for a large pizza.

You can't go wrong with the classic pizza hutt. You gotta love Pappa Johns though. Anybody ever ate at Cici's Pizza before?

In Ames it has to be Great Plains or Pizza Pit....

When we lived in Ankeny the Pizza Hut there was always good.

Here in Altoona we usually get Papa Murphy's or GodFathers', the GodFathers here in Altoona is great!!!

Alley's Pizza is our favorite since we've moved to Nevada. Their ranch pizzas are awesome.

Great Plains was our favorite pizza in Ames, but I loved Pokey Stix from Gumby's.

Hands down the best pizza in Ames when I was in school was DaVinci's. Can't believe they closed it down.

Gotta love Happy Joe's taco pizza too.

Anybody remember Hometeam pizza?? (i think that's what it was)
It closed down a few years ago, but that was the best/cheapest pizza around and it was perfect to get on the way home from the bars.

I had my different kicks for pizza in Ames. I by far ordered Pizza Pit the most, their other items are great too. Gumby's for pokey sticks and if I went out to eat Great Plains. I used to like that one place that closed down right next to the Kum and Go, can't remember the name though but they made great philly steak sandwiches and pizza but were a little more pricey.

Here in Des Moines can't say I really have a favorite though.

great plains or godfather's taco

The Godfather's by 1st National Bank is now permanently closed.

The old Godfather's by Casey's is now a Funeral Home/Crematorium. It's kind of weird to have a former pizza joint turn into a crematorium along Lincoln Way. They even had an open house. What do you do at an open house for a crematorium?
