are leaning back towrds ISU. What was the big thing in changing their minds?

Any source on this?

Can we get an update on all recruits, Jeremy?
After the visits last week it'd be great to hear we've upped our status in the eyes of many of the recruits so we can start getting some names in ink.

This is great news. Personally I would say that an outside shooter and another good post player are our top needs, but if we can get a quality player like Andre we should probably go for it. He is an explosive scorer and plays much bigger than his size and has excellent defensive stats. I think P'Allen is a no brainer. What does everyone else think?

Coach Mac is making the people who had any doubts about his recruiting abilty (me included) look very foolish. Keep it up Mac!

Here's a nice picture of P'Allen:

I contacted a person within the Idaho MBB program on Friday and confirmed that both P'Allen and Andre seem to be stepping back their interest in them a bit. I wouldn't say that they have made up their minds completely but right now it appears ISU is probably favored by around 75%-25%.

I meant to word it that we have about 75% of their interest and Idaho has about 25% :)

Does anyone know why Stinnett and McFarland were so interested in Idaho. They only won four games last year, and only two of those were in their conference. They fired their coach and went on a national search, but had no luck. They then gave the job to an assistant (sound familiar?). Does a new assistant know them from AAU or something. I just don't see what the attraction is to Idaho since they have opportunities at some big name schools.

Chris has a great article up this morning on CN regarding P'Allen and Andre. It's for subscribers only so don't post any of it here, but it's a good interview for those that are subscribers.

One of the assistants is McFarland's cousin. The coach that got fired was a former ISU assistant under LE

I think it really comes down to them feeling comfortable with the way things are going in Ames. They have connections with both programs but I think they're starting to see ISU is probably going to get to that next step quite a bit quicker than Idaho will.

P'Allen had a great relationship with the prior ISU staff and we're extremely lucky the new staff has been very open and appreciative of P'Allen. P'Allen has been gratious enout to give them a chance to keep their interest in us high.

Do they still only have two offers, from us and Idaho? That doesn't really make sense for two highly touted players.

They would have more offers but they pretty much closed out recruiting on themselves.

Jeremy, are their decisions separate, or have the made it clear they will decide together? I ask as what happens if Walker pulls the trigger first?

Andre McFarland is supposedy a cousin of Anthony Brown (Coach, Las Vegas Prospets AAU Team). and like a cousin to DeMarlo Slocum (Idaho Asst). Apparently, DeMarlo Slocum is the one who started the Las Vegas Prospects. Stinnett and McFarland both played for the LV Prospects.
