Ovi is a very classy player as well. Just a week or so ago, he gathered his teammates to come back to the rink after the wild game so shake the hand of another all time great: Fleury.

The fact that he could have gotten an empty netter against the Blackhawks to pass the record and passed on the chance to do it in a regular setting made me appreciate him more.

I remember hearing his total point stat for the first time. It still blows me away. Puts into perspective how great Gretzky was.
If you take away all of Gretzky's goals, he would still be the all time points leader.
It's incredible. And he is a total class act, on and off the ice. We've been so lucky here in the DC area to have him as an ambassador the last 20 years. It was a little bitter sweet watching it on TV today and not having it happen at home. We are STH, so we were there for 894 on Friday night and was really hoping to see 895 as well. But, we will get to see the Capitals celebration in person, which will also be awesome. We often talk about how lucky we are to get to watch him play all the time. We know there are people who make special trips just to see him once. It has been a blessing for sure. Love Ovi! The Gr8 One!
