My dad told me about a guy that dunked with his wedding ring on, and pulled everything off above his knuckle, including the muscle.

I take mine off every day before heading out to coach football practice. I don't know of anything ever happening in that situation, but I can see catching a ball the wrong way ripping the skin right off.

I got my finger caught in one of those chain link basketball nets once, 14 stitches after that baby...

Nothing to do with rings but I once got so pissed at a reciever in practice for dropping the ball so many times I threw it as hard I could on a little stop route, split the webbing in his fingers, very bloody. Soccercy can back me up on that one .

I knew a girl when I was in high school who was tubing out on a lake and got one of her fingers caught in the rope when the boat took off..... Pulled it clean off at the first knuckle

I had a friend who, back in high school, got her sleeve caught in a jig saw in the theater department. Instead of cutting the wood, she cut up her left forearm and back down again. Luckily she still has her arm, and as far as I know it still works.

Played with a guy at Lied Rec Center while I was in school that ripped his finger off trying to dunk. Came up a little short and caught it on the net. Kind of a gross sight.

Shortly after that I accidentally racked Steve Johnson with the top of my head as he dunked it on me.

I hope you didn't do this as a coach :wideeyed:
