i have a friend who is a Sooner fan who has been moaning about OU’s need for tall corners since the end of the season. You know, despite the fact that Oklahoma signs 4 and 5 star corners all the time.

Well, he got his wish. I guess Dontae Manning counts as “tall”, but this guy is 6’3”. But y’know what? As far as I’m concerned, Oklahoma can sign cornerbacks who only run a 4.59 40 all day long!

Some of the best corners in the nfl are under 6’. What’s his obsession with tall corners? Only guy I can think of that’s that tall off the top of my head is Richard Sherman

And in his prime no one attacked his side of the field. Hence the obsession.

Manning was one of ISU's early targets. Not sure what your point is since ISU would have really liked to land him as well.

Deion Sanders was 6 foot. Revis 5’11”. Height is less of a factor than speed and technique. Again not sure of the obsession with above average height of a corner.

Campbell tricked the conference into thinking they need tall CB to handle ISU's tall WR, now everyone is recruiting tall and ISU is going to go small and beat the other teams with quick routes and separation.

Also, ISU was listed as warm for Manning. The staff was really after him before he committed

Because it helps? I didn't say height can negate speed & technique. But just imagine if you could combine all three! Have you ever watched basketball? Tall point guards are popular too. I don't know what else to tell you...
