This week, @MeanDean, @CycloneRulzzz and I will begin OTN's annual series focused on top albums from years past, in decade increments.

This year's theme is "To the 9's" ... Week 1 is 1959/1969.

Additional segments will follow with '79, '89 and '99.

We want to give advance notice to allow time to contemplate and compile.

Please Do Not Post any of your choices in this thread. We'll start the official thread late Tuesday, as is the custom.

Mainly 1969, but also anything from 1959. We decided to start with 1969 since the album as an art form was not really a 'thing' yet in 59. But wanted to include 1959 music if posters had something from that year to contribute.

So, no, NOT anything from 59-69. Only things from those two years.

I had to check twice: it looks like it will just be albums. That'll winnow things down a little but not too much, because 1969 and 1959 were very good years.

Yeah if we included singles, too, that could be extensive. Those years are loaded.
