He is also plays Bulters spot if I read that correctly and is 5-11. I thought you said ISU does not see that as their main WR mold when considering Oliver Martin argument.

When did I say size was the reason we didn't want Martin? We just signed a 5'9 guy who is going to play WR

You said he is not the type of guy ISU recruits, I was assuming it is because the best WRs Iowa has traditionally had are in the 6-5 or taller mold.

So he was not good enough to replace them is what you are saying. He is not at their level
He's not the same kind of player, has different strengths and we have been running more vertical routes to create pressure on the players outside of the box. If you're saying he's not a 6'5'' 225 lbs athletic protege then sure, but otherwise you're just a stupid troll.

Pettway was good last year. Martin was not. Not sure what you're getting at
Oh that is correct. 247 does not have stats for the 2018 season, my apologies.

It was for his first 2 years, he just had a lot of improvement from year 2 to year 3..... who knew that was possible.

You said Campbell does not want because he is not what ISU typically targets in a WR. I was assuming it was his size, but I could have interpreted you wrong.

This may have been the first intelligent think you have said in this thread!

The only way you would think i was intelligent is if I said ISU was great and Iowa sucked, lets be real here. Which would make me not intelligent, but a ISU homer.

KF has a 20 year track record of struggling to develop WRs but you do you

Oliver Martin is a huge get for these Hawkeyes. Hoping he can help us to make it 5 (V, five, cinco) in a row against ISU this upcoming fall.

Dumb button.

Stop! I've had a lot of good conversations with the other Iowa posters here. You are simply a moron looking to ruffle feathers.

As is the way ISU is looking at things. Under Campbell, ISU has had 2 1000 yard wrs. and neither one of those guys is on the roster now. It is kind of like when Iowa had DJK, and McNutt. when those guys where gone, it was hard to find that production.

The guys coming back are not at Lazard and Butler level for ISU and will create more issues with the offense because no one has to shade to a certain side of the field with those guys gone. Unless someone steps up in a huge way.
The guys we have coming into those spots are a 6'6" redshirt freshman who has a very high ceiling, and a 6'4" redshirt freshman (offers from Bama, LSU, OU, MSU) who Campbell has said is the most talented WR he's coached. We also have a 6'3" grad transfer from Arkansas who had more receiving yards than any receiver on Iowa last year and only caught the ball 30 times. Add in proven talent with Deshaunte Jones and Tarique Milton and that's a pretty dang good WR core for Purdy to work with.
