Saturday night Stephenson and the guards will face Howie Fuimaono a 6'0" 335lb SR nose guard who has been named to the Outland Trophy watch list. It will be fun to see how effective we are running the ball up the middle.
In addition UNLV LB Beau Bell is on the watch list for the Butkus award for the best collegiate linebacker. Bell is 6' 3" 245lb Jr. (much bigger than last weeks LB's) and was named the #16 outside LB in the nation by Sporting News.
Against Idaho State they only gave up 68 yards rushing, but were so far ahead it is difficult to say if that is due to stout run defense or ISU throwing all the time. It will be an intersting game to watch and could tell us a lot about how our oline will fair in some of the upcoming games.
