I'm excited that Fred keeps upgrading the roster, not sure why you wouldn't be?

There's not a guy on the roster for next year that I'd be excited to see leave, and that included Clayton.. I have no doubt that Fred will fill any vacant spots with good players, but I would be perfectly content with less spots rather than more.

Well now that we have an extra scholly, I hope we spend one on another 5th year guard to start at the 2.
Where is this Naz hate coming from?

I feel like I've had to say this in 10 different threads now, but Naz Long is starting at the 2 next year. That isn't really up for debate.

Tobias played at half hallow hills with sledge. Think Tyler was on that team before transferring to a prep school later in his career.

Tyler Harris of Providence is transferring.

6 ft 9 in, 220 lbs.

10 pts, 4 boards in 26 minutes.

@jeffborzello: Providence's Tyler Harris will graduate this semester and transfer elsewhere for his final season of eligibility.

I think he is too.

It isn't hate. I just think he fits better as a 6th man. I think he'd be a great spark whenever our offense was slow.

And I think that we need a great guard defender.

If Naz is the 6th man, then Cooke is starting. Naz, Cooke and Thomas will get all the minutes at the 2. You can stop pining for someone to replace them now.

Great, let's add a player with a different skill set to come in and play starter minutes behind him.

It is not hate. Naz is a solid Big 12 player and even better Cyclone. It stinks he is already a senior. But if you can land a difference maker that complements his talents, you sign him up.

Any guy who can 40%+ ball from three is going to play, A LOT, for Fred Hoiberg.

Despite whatever other relative weaknesses in his game.

I'd imagine Cooke might challenge him for it, but senior Naz is probably starting, yes.

pretty weak list right now. Didn't ISU recruit Sina? Him and the Fordham guy are probably the most enticing.

I don't think ISU was ever really recruiting Sina. Having Monte and Clayton in the fold who were already higher rated out of HS there wan't a good fit or need at the time. I believe his top schools when he commited to SH were Northwestern and Butler.

Probably just from his end of the year.... Going broke basically after the Texas game in Feb. Didnt score in double figures and shot 28% from 3 to close out the year.

Derek Gordon of UMASS would be a nice back up point guard. Great slasher.

Of course any guy who shoots 40% from deep is going to play a lot for Fred.

Tyrus McGee, the best 6th man in Cyclone history, shot over 40% from deep and played a lot for Fred.
