with Ashton we are a 14 schollies though. Hence my assumption is he already doesn't have one. If we added a transfer we would be at 15. So that would mean no Ashton and either Lard or Monte won't be back. I just don't know he will oversign now. Kota the best optics. Who knows though.

English is hard.

Just my opinion, but I would not be surprised if our recruiting shifts more towards HS and top level JC to fill needs. Possible exceptions might be players that coach Prohm has recruited in the past. Be interesting to see what direction our recruiting goes over the 3-4 years. Since I'm (very) old school, I enjoy seeing us bring in a freshman and see him develop over 4 years. On the other hand, it's a different game now with the number of transfers and the grad players.

I think Transfers will continue to be a important part of ISU roster construction going forward for a few reasons. Prohm has said as much when he took the job and used that talent base at Murray State. TJ has had had first hand look at how it has worked at ISU. Even without Fred, ISU still is known as place where Transfers have had success "focus town". ISU's roster construction going forward will still be upper class man driven the next two years (Naz, Matt, Monte, and Burton Senior's and Jackson/Malou Juniors) there'll be opportunity for transfers to step in and contribute after RS next year.

This year will be a little slow on the transfer front due to the available transfers not having a connection to ISU/Prohm but as the staff gains creditability and builds connections with players that eventually transfer we'll hear a ISU as potential destination.

Guard isn't exactly as much of a need as big men for next season but this dude will be one of most sought after transfers.

He will be but doubt ISU makes a push for anything other than immediate transfer big or a late high school potential.
