Every good receiver in the nation (Jeff Samrdizja, Filiani, Hicks, Dwayne Jarret, Ted Ginn) are doubled teamed, they are always the focus for other teams and they are in there game plans to stop them. And you know what they still get the ball, there coaches know that they are playmakers so they get them the ball no matter what.

I know Blythe is quite to that caliber yet, but is sure darn near it, or would be if he got the ball at least 4 to 7 times a game.

Bythe quote from the Rag

“I was running routes and working to get open. What that showed is that we’ve got a lot of guys that can catch passes and that I don’t have to catch passes in order for us to be successful.â€￾

What a great attitude. Todd only cares that we are winning. How about the fans do the same??

I think it is all a set up for next week. Everything that has been talked about, not throwing to Blythe, playing loose on defense, conservative football, is all a set up for the squawks! At least I hope so.

Relax. Trust me, Blythe will get all the catches he can handle and more next week. Iowa's DBs are terrible, can't cover anyone without mugging them and that's even with a ten yard cushion off the line. TB will be too physical for their slow and weak D backs and will absolutely man handle them. I can't stress this enough!!! Iowa's defense is terribly over rated. Their "great" d-line had absolutely no push up front and could barely put any pressure on a so-so QB from one of the worst teams in D-1 football. Their great goal line stand was mildly impressive, until you realize it was against SYRACUSE!!!

Bottom line: Blythe will get open--as well as Davis, Flynn, Nickel, et al--and Meyer will have all day to stand back there and pick them apart. And if they aren't open, which they WILL be, then Brett can pull the ball down and tuck and run for 5-10 yards. So relax, Blythe will get his touches next week. Quaranteed. This is gunna be fun.
