***Official Olympics Discussion***

sheesh, i can see what some of you are talking about in trying to avoid "spoilers". I just happened to be watching NBC Nightly News and practically the first thing outta Brian Williams mouth before I could kill the channel was...'"In gymnastics, a stun.......". I have no idea if he was referring to the US women or what but, geez....come on. I realize it's their job to report the news but apparently at some point during the day I need to enter into the soundproof chamber or cover my ears with both hands while uttering "la la la la la la la" for at least a couple of hours.

I liked when NBC spoiled a race that was going to be shown in like 5 minutes with a Today show promo.

Getting bored with 5 days of Swimming. Ready for track & field.

Hope we get to see a lot of pole vault, high jump , shot, hammer and long jump

That 50m drag was pretty cool to watch with the underwater camera. The swimmers went all 50m without taking a breath. I couldn't believe it, until i realized it was only a 21 second race, but still with those sprinters the lactic acid was probably building quite quickly.

I feel bad for Lochte. Not only is he not having the Olympics he wanted but his mom is telling the entire world about his sex life.

Maybe I missed something, but WTF with only showing 1 game of a 4 set match between two of the best men's volleyball teams in the world? USA was already up 2-1 when they started airing?

Getting sick of watching Costas and Patrick wax poetic in the cheesy studio while missing out on the actual competition. Between that and everything being time delayed so we already know what's happened (impossible to avoid), NBC is really dropping the ball in my opinion.

Agree. The less they talk and more they show, the better this thing is. Just get to it, NBC.

I hope Team USA pours it on Nigeria for cutting our man Melvin.

to be honest I'm kinda glad Melvin didn't make it. That would have been brutal to watch today..and he gets to work out with the rest of the Cyclone team.

oh and we finally passed the dang Chinese in medals. 37 for U.S., 34 for China and tied on golds.
