Yeah, I just heard his comments too, but we should all have expected it. If the roles were reversed, they would be trashing us for losing to a horrible team, too. The national pundits don't watch our games and they don't follow us closely enough to see how close our guys have been to getting some great wins this year. All they see is the horrible conference record we have.

You guys need to give the rest of us a night to enjoy a win! And if you think beating a Top 5 team on the road that had a #1 seed on the line the NCAA's with a depleted bench and refs that seemed hell bent on lowering the number even more in overtime, not a good coaching effort that proves he can indeed still coach, then you're a hell of a lot more ignorant than I ever thought before which is saying something.

Why when we win is it supposedly all about the coaching but when we lose it is all about the players and/or bad luck? Why is this?

You are who your record says you are.

I said nowhere that this was all coaching and the players had nothing to do with it. I think these kids have been giving effort all year long, and deserve all the credit in the world too! But to say that the coach had nothing to do with it when they win, but everything to do with it when they lose is asinine!!!!!!!!! Again I implore you to stop posting until after midnight so the rest can enjoy this win as we ALL should.

Completely agree. A closer look shows that we've been in most games and have gotten destroyed only a few times.

A closer look would show that we're "this close" to 8 more wins. We're a dangerous team that struggled through a whole lot of adversity.

We all complained early on that the team wasn't tough enough. The only way people/teams get tougher is through tough times. The team had those aplenty, they got tougher instead of quitting, and tonight, the took down the #5 team in the country.

Impressive turnaround. Our Clones aren't weak anymore.

Who has said that? Certainly, not me.

It is the hardcore GM fans that continually bemoan the luck issue and tell us "the coach doesn't play the game" when we lose and then come on here after a rare win and start pounding their chests about the great coaching.

So you didn't say earlier something along the lines as "a blind squirrel can sometimes find a acorn"? How is that giving credit again to a coach??? Again let it go and disappear for another half hour.

Geez, just enjoy the win and take a chill pill.

Honest question: Did you even watch the game?

No kidding. Its funny how many of those saying 'just enjoy the win' are at the same time making Gmac into a much better coach all of a sudden. I'm enjoying that we won but its a bit ridiculous to say this *one* game all of a sudden makes a whole lot of difference as to any fair evaluation of him.

So he had a good (even great) game. One great game is not a season, nor is one win against a ranked team in a ton of tries anything spectacular overall.

Lets see where things go from here. Is this the sign of the team finally figuring things out? (albeit probably too late in the season to matter... and with CB and MG probably gone, does it matter?) Or is this just a fluke?
