No kidding. Its funny how many of those saying 'just enjoy the win' are at the same time making Gmac into a much better coach all of a sudden. I'm enjoying that we won but its a bit ridiculous to say this *one* game all of a sudden makes a whole lot of difference as to any fair evaluation of him.

So he had a good (even great) game. One great game is not a season, nor is one win against a ranked team in a ton of tries anything spectacular overall.

Lets see where things go from here. Is this the sign of the team finally figuring things out? (albeit probably too late in the season to matter... and with CB and MG probably gone, does it matter?) Or is this just a fluke?

those same posters also defined mac by a couple losses he had to inferior opponents. Yet they won't give him credit for having his team in nearly evry game this year and knocking off a #5 team on the road.

It must suck to be bitter and angry ALL THE TIME.......we won tonight in case you missed it!!! Save your coach bashing for another day.

That goes for you too COCO boy!!!

Oh yes, i must have missed in the site rules that all of a sudden when we win things must be sunshine and rainbows. I'm happy about the win as everyone else, but its just dumb to ride the rollercoaster and go all overboard (some of the posts about getting to the NIT or multiple conference tourney wins when Gmac has yet to get one). Just as some go overboard after a loss, those who who go overboard after a win are no better. The only difference is, after a loss, those who go overboard arent on here telling everyone who disagrees with them they need to 'shut up' and 'only post negative thoughts'

Also, hate to break it to you but this game also marked the end of the regular season, a time where its also fair game to look back and evaluate the season. As i recall, this was *exactly* when some of the gmac lovers were saying 'lets wait till the end of the season to evaluate' when we started losing. Now that we end the season with a win we're supposed to suddenly forget what we watched for 3 months?

I am evaluating and I'm thrilled to see our team come out fighting and not give up even when thy had nothing to gain.

That right there shows me a glimmer of hope for next year.

It is a bit of hope, and i loved watching the team this game. If we couldve seen this all season we wouldnt even be having this discussion.

Hopefully we see the same fire in the big 12 tourney. Really hoping this isnt a fluke.

And against a team that really did have a lot to play for. It's not like Frank Martin was playing in the game. His best guys were out there with a #1 seed to shoot for.

That fight is something that's stood out to me for a nice little while. I think it says a lot about the players and coaches for driving on.

I saw it in flashes a few times.

What site have you been on for the last 2 months??? Everytime someone would say something positive about GMac after a loss, they got killed for it.

We could have easily lost this game because of that dumb foul by Garrett with three seconds left. That would have been a shame too because he played well for most of the game. It's nice to be on the lucky end for one of the few times this season.

Everytime someone tries to drop a gmac lover or apologist tag I just laugh. It's like the junior high equivalent of "if you like him so much why don't you marry him" line. Really? You're over 18 and that's te best you got?

All I know is the team AND the coach deserve some props tonight, they never gave up when the refs tried to steal this one away from us!!
