But Christmas movies are awful (except Nightmare Before Christmas, which IS a Christmas movie).

By and large, they are. I'd probably rather stick a fork in my eye than watch the Hallmark Movie Channel. But "Scrooged" is likely a better movie than any Halloween one (or maybe any holiday movie ever). So it depends on if you're going "entire genre" vs "best of the best."

Wait until you get a wife. You will LOVE, Love Actually or you will DIE.

I hate rom coms... but that's actually a super-fun movie.
