OB is going to cost 6 figures and he'd be here one year. (Either draft or transfer). I'd much rather have MM.
Still takes a minute seeing posts like this. What is a deep run in March worth to program? What's ISU's budget going to be for players?

Watched him against Johnston, his game is raw. He'll likely be a first round pick on potential. I'd rather see us get MM and a productive transfer.

Get a solid guard, wing and post in every class then fill in with transfers.

You take them both 10 times out of 10. Omaha give you credibility by getting a top 10 recruit and a potential lottery pick. Those things are huge when recruiting future classes. Momcilovic gives you a 3 or 4 year player with big time potential. We are going to have a huge outgoing Sr Class to fill in the 2023 Cycle. There is no reason at all we won't have room for both Omaha and Momcilovic plus a transfer. You don't pass on a kid like Omaha just because he will be a 1 year guy.

Agreed. Omaha would be an starter (I'd assume) if he'd choose to come to Ames (or almost any program). Getting a top 5 rotation player is worth a 1 year scholarship especially if the staff knows he's turning pro. It adds to the ISU recruiting profile and the staff can sell that to 2024 recruits all year. Essentially it would be like getting a Sr Transfer like Brockington. In fact, right now I think that is ISU's strategy recruit Omaha and if he chooses a blue blood then fill that schoolly with a high level transfer (selling IB's 1-yr) in the spring.

Sorry if already posted, but was just wondering if we have shown any interest in Pryce Sandfort. Realize with his brother at Iowa he could follow, but wondered if he was high major material?

Generally, a kid like Billew that may project as a one-year player is an automatic take. But IMO the staff needs to make sure the player & family have realistic expectations about the kid's role. Aka no guarantees of playing time or being the primary offensive threat.

Hopefully, by the time Billew is ready to enter college for the 2023/24 school year, TJ has built up the Cyclone roster with 2-3 core upperclassman that can be team leaders and established scorers. That would allow Billew and ease into life as a college hoops player.

With his brother being a hawk it’s going to be an uphill recruitment for ISU (and anyone else) but Pryce is changing to an AAU program ISU has a ton of connections with

I wonder if the Kapke offer means Iowa State doesn't like their chances of landing either Biliew or Momcilovic.

Not likely considering it is still early and prior to the AAU summer circuit. Otz is allowed to recruit and offer multiple players at a similar positions. ;)
Actually it can help to speed the process for one of them to commit if there was only one scholarship for a position.

We NEED a stretch 4.

Momcilovic is priority #1 IMO because he could be a 4 year Niang jr.

Bilew is a close second. That kind of raw potential with a dinamic PG in Hunter could be REALLY fun. We would really need to recruit some shooters to surround them.
