Guess Hunter Sallis was in Ames for a visit Saturday per Hines.

Top-75 prospect visits ISU

Hunter Sallis, one of the country’s top prospects in the Class of 2021, made his second visit to ISU on Saturday with his Omaha Millard North teammates to participate in the Cyclones’ team camp at the Sukup Basketball Complex.

“I know it’s agood program,” Sallis said. “It’s got good coaches. I have a good relationship with (assistant) coach (James) Kane, with coach Prohm. It’s good talking to them and building that relationship.”

The 6-foot-3 guard is ranked as the 61st recruit in his class by 247Sports. He said he’s spoken with Oregon, Marquette, Iowa, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Creighton, UCLA, Cal and Kansas State with plans to set up visits in the near future.

He previously visiting ISU in November when the Cyclones hosted Missouri at Hilton Coliseum.

“It was good,” he said. “I liked the atmosphere. All the fans came. It’s a big facility.”

His trip to Ames also included a brush with a Cyclone legend.

“I got to talk to Monte Morris a little bit,” Sallis said of the current Denver Nuggets point guard who was in town last week. “It was good because he’s an NBA player. That’s where I’m trying to go so it was good to see and talk to him.”

Couple of mentions by Scouts with Player ISU has offered.

"Dallan Coleman has not had the best of springs on the travel circuit but he has been tremendous this week before suffering a blow to the face on Tuesday evening. Reminiscent some of former Michigan standout Jordan Poole, Coleman is not a high-flying athlete but rather a skilled and shifty scorer that wields an effortless jumper that can take over a game in an instant. He hit four 3s in his Tuesday afternoon contest but is also a prospect that can play on the ball thanks to his sound skillset and overall feel for the game. Shot makers are en vogue which makes the product out of Jacksonville that much more valuable.

Recruitment: Things are relatively wide open as the local powers, Florida and Florida State, have already offered, as have Georgetown, Georgia Tech, Iowa State and Oklahoma State."

"Kennedy Chandler, PG – At right around 6-feet tall, Chandler isn’t one of the bigger guards in attendance, but he has been one of the best. Chandler has a unique feel for how to change speeds with the dribble, and then he is a crafty finisher around the rim. Add in developing athleticism, and a good feel for the game, and Chandler was very impressive running a team. He clearly showed why he is one of the most highly coveted point guards in the country.

Recruiting: Memphis, Ole Miss, Florida, Georgia Tech, Iowa State, LSU, Auburn, Tennessee"

Tucker is Darian Devries son for those who weren’t aware. Hell of a shooter. 2021 looks like it’s gonna be a real strong class in state.

A lot of Iowa and UNI connections in that family tree...

"most recent offer, Kansas.
He also has several other schools showing new interest that could likely pull the trigger and offer:
“New interest would be Michigan, Oregon, Arkansas, and Maryland and Wake Forest which those two just offered.”
Illinois, Iowa State, Baylor, Nebraska, Texas, Iowa, among those plus others involved.
“My recruitment, I feel, is only going to get better the next couple months especially down at USA camp it’s like an extra live period for coaches to come and watch.”
