Why did Sumrall fair catch it? Because he had a damn Toledo defender unblocked headed right for him. If Sumrall does not fair catch the punt...he gets lit up like the 4th of July.

I guess I should clarify, I meant I thought he should of signaled fair catch only to let the ball go over his head into the endzone, or at worst the 1 yard line. We never took a snap after the punt, so why do we catch it? At least take away the return man and send all 11 after the punter, increasing the chances for a block. It is just something minor I noticed, and overall not a big deal at all.
I am glad we won, I am just commenting that I about had a heart attack when summaral caught the punt and fell down. I thought he droppped it at first. Clearly we were not going to advance the ball on the punt, so why risk catching it and fumbling it inside the 20. Its a minor point, but somebody else noticed it, so I thought I would say I noticed it too. Isn't that what a damn message board is for?
If you actually read all of my post, you would see that I am not trying to just throw out negative comments and I actually complimented the poise of our kicker. Hitting those clutch PAT could do wonders for his confidence later in the season. I am very happy about that and happy we WON.
