which tells you it is not a size issue. Spangler is an inch bigger than Georges, Clark is the same height of Ejim
Yet you neglect to note the fact that Niang tends to play more like a European big man like Andrea Bargnani, who are a complete liability on the defensive side of the ball.

And our pg and SF play like posts. You think Clark at OU plays like a power forward?
We need to play better. If it was as easy as size or having bigger posts, we would not see such a decline when Edozie and Gibson are in.
The biggest issue by far is not size in the post or defense in the post, which is a lot like last year. What is killing the guard wing play is not as good as last year. With Babb or McGee would make a huge difference.

Unfortunately, we are going to live or die by the 3 this year. If you are hot/cold with 3's , you can beat anyone and lose to anyone. I see us going .500 this year in Big12. With bigs you don't have an off night shooting layups or rebounding.

Have you not noticed how hard Niang works for position for defensive rebounds . . . and succeeds in getting them against players much taller than him?

Why not go smaller with 3 guards paired with Niang and Ejim or Houge. Kane can guard the 3 on the other team. Ejim and Houge are great players, but they are too similar IMO.

Because less of Niang/Hogue/Ejim means more of Long and Thomas and those two haven't offered much lately.

It means more MM and that Naz/Thomas get the same overall minutes, but some at the three. Our best ball in the last few weeks has been when we had MM, Kane, and Naz. Naz has a bigger advantage against a SF on offense than a sg.
