Would guess they would love to get her and she would seem to be a good "fit" but Iowa hasn't added a lot via the portal. They haven't had a lot of traffic in or out during this explosion of transferring. They added Molly Davis who was a support cast player for two season. And added a star level player for one season in Lucy Olsen which was obviously a huge get for them. Oh, and Feuerbach but that's not even one a year (so far) over the last five years. Maybe too early to see if Jensen keeps to that same philosophy which requires an above average player retention rate and good HS recruiting.

This was rumored but still a little surprising. Unless they plan on having Deal play PG it seems she would be in the running for that spot next season.

Maybe just a visit from Jada Williams was enough to send her into the portal.

Bout to make at least 10x the wnba salary

Ha, just saw that was going to post. Wow. That really shows how crappy the WNBA pay is. Way more lucrative for a top level player like her to go free agent in NCAA moneyball right now. Of course that's only for thee top players and not the other 1000 plus in the portal. She might be able to pull off a Van Lith for another team.

Make more in college than WNBA.
On the flip side, you can make pretty good money after your rookie contract in the WNBA, and you are delaying that pay increase by a year.

I'm not saying the NIL might more than make up for it, but the amount of money you are forgoing is closer to max money than to first-year rookie money. You're just spreading that amount over a handful of years.

Counterpoint to my argument -- no matter how good you are, the WNBA is very difficult to get a foothold into and nothing is guaranteed. So get that NIL money now.
