Great to hear they are returning. They are of course our two best offensive players. To this point, the opponents two best offensive players are whoever those two are guarding. Need massive increased commitment on the defensive end. Most likely a factor was fatigue so hopefully they can add some more pieces to allow more rest and focus on defense.

So I have someone (who married into our family) that is a big hawk fan. Sad for her but she always claims to have “reliable” sources everywhere. I get so tired of her condescending talk towards ISU & anything related to good things for ISU. She’s trying to claim that Audi got a big increase in her NIL so that is why she decided to come back for next year. Any idea if she “demanded” much more in terms of NIL. I’m not saying she doesn’t deserve it but just curious about it. I don’t see it……

She would be a fool not to ask for a substantial NIL commitment. If she were to enter the portal she would have multiple high $$$ offers.

I think she would get less in the portal than you think. She's in a unique situation here that is completely built around her as the queen. None of the elite teams, the ones that might be able to orchestra big NIL, are going to change their entire system and throw the rest of the team into a complete change for her.

She best suited to be the big fish in a small pond and Big 12 and the midwest is her small pond.

Hare coming back healthy should help with ball handling and quickness.
In my opinion, zone D might be a better fit for the personnel. Also, at times they just needed to compete more on defense. Turn on a game replay and you will see it.
On offense, we need to cut down on turnovers. Can’t be giving up possessions while also playing pedestrian defense.
100% right here. Need that defensive buy in. Im with you thinking this is a zone team, just have to be sure we learn to do it well and hold players accountable.

I agree with you that its a good fit for her to stay but she would still command big $$$ on the open market.

She's one of the few players that have went out and actually created NIL dollars, I have no idea about her ties with We Will.
As a freshman she had a local bank and Kemna auto, this yr she has fareway grocery stores and I'm not sure what else. You certainly see way more Crooks t-shirts at the games then any other player from our team.

If I’m her ( and Brown), why wouldn’t you negotiate for more NIL? Good business sense and it’s how it works. If she took a home town discount , good for her, but don’t hold it against the players if they don’t. He’ll, coaches have played the game for years with much higher stakes.

Absolutely should get more but this person was insinuating it was big $$$ to stay. She definitely is the focus here on offense so I am not sure there are as many teams that want her skill set for top $$. She’s definitely worth some $$$ but not as much as what the thought was. We need to spend the $$$ on a pt guard & a stretch 4 & a consistent shooter!

My guess is they are full of crap and not to think that much into it. Audi/Addy probably got more NIL (as deserving of their statuses and importance on the team), but I don't think there is a ton of money to go around that it could've been big money.

You do all realize NIL Stands for name, image and likeness? It has nothing to do with what a school "pays" an athlete. They may help set up sponsors and such to use that players name, image and likeness and pay the athlete to use them. What a school is willing to pay is at there own discretion and comes from donors and other fundraising. It is not NIL. With Audis speaking ability, marketability and being a 2 TIME all American she could definitely get paid very well if she would have chose to enter the portal.

In terms of NIL to other teams I would think Addy Brown has more NIL potential than Audi.
Let's stop calling it NIL just call it play for play and I agree with you on that part
Audi's appeal is that she is really upbeat and likeable and can score. But IMO her likeability is where her NIL value comes from.
She's a very good player for her position but I'm not sure what she'd be worth on the open market for BB value, when you watch the top teams I wonder how you would optimize her abilities?
I'm really glad she is at and likes being at ISU. I hope we can get some players to help and maybe get a sweet 16 or elite 8 run next season. And yes I realize that will be a big step up from this season.
