Why is the Senior Bowl less risky for injury than ISUs bowl game against Miami?
It’s not the difference in propensity to get hurt that’s important

The reward is higher to playing in front of the nfl scouts and personnel all WEEK at the senior bowl

And most players don’t want to risk not being 100% for that opportunity by getting injured in a bowl game 1 month prior

Who said it was less risky?

It’s simply a very different risk/reward.

For that matter, note that Leek didn’t actually compete, saving it for the Combine.

I doubt Verdon could have competed even if he wanted to. The combine is a different animal all together. No hitting.

Here’s my prediction:
Noel R2
Higgins R3
Porter R3
Verdon R6
Travis R7

When was the last time ISU had 5 players invited to the combine? Feels like a lot (but I could be wrong, idk, I don't follow post season stuff too closely.)
