I usually try to avoid making any because I never keep them and end up feeling lousy about myself. But this year my wife and I both want to lose weight. My sister's getting married in October and we're both in the wedding, so we want to look good.

I want to run another marathon. Its been 4 yrs since the last one, and 2 yrs since I've done a 1/2 marathon. I figure it is about time to get back into it (still run 3-5 miles a day in the warm months, so this will just mean upping that to 5-10 miles a day).

I also have a stack of projects I've been tinkering with for the last 5 yrs - finishing ONE of them would be a significant improvement.....
And if we are including resolutions that wont happen (0-1% chance) - finish that second MS i've been working on.

I thought about getting back into it also. But the time commitment is just too much. I may set my goal as cap pursuit in under 90 min.

I generally don't make New Year's resolutions because they provide a good excuse to put off starting something until the first of the year. I tend to try to act on my ideas right away. With that said, I have decided to start my working out again after a bit of a lapse.

I am going to try and avoid all National Chain restraunts, including fast food...

That's a good one, just as long as you live somewhere with some other good dining options. Train restaurants suck, and fast food really does of course (except Chik Fil-A and Chipotle).
