Didn't catch that, I thought this signing period was closed.

Don't know when the signing period closes (it probably is), but someone can always commit to come to a school. It's just not binding until they enroll.

People might remember that it was about this time last year that we unexpectedly got a commitment from unheralded Hayworth Hicks, and he certainly turned out to be a good get.

He missed the period to sign a Letter of Intent (LOI), which means he is not officially committed until he enrolls at ISU.

Phenomenal. Now we just need Arnaud to get a motorcycle, Bo Williams and A-Rob to get in battle over a hot tutor and a scarier-than-**** middle linebacker that breaks his leg in 17 places in the final game.

I wouldn't say it's an awful commit, I actually like what I've seen so far. Two 3 star recruits, neither from the state, and I believe at this time last year we maybe had one recruit. Most of the time when a recruit commits to us this early, either he is a nobody two star or he is from the state and grew up wanting to play for us.

From the look of things last year, we needed tryouts for linebacker anyway. Once Ace and others left, we barely survived our linebacking corps. We could not blitz our way out of a paper bag.

i was right about land leaving, and i'm right about the other guys that are not returning as well (wallace franklin, linder and aj mathews) they're all academically ineligable and currently aren't on the team working out or anything.
