Made my way through the brackets this morning. Below are my picks.

ISU
Redding - 3-2 losing to Fix in the front and the blood round to Ragusin
Swiderski - 3-2 losing to Hart in the front and then in the blood round to Bartlett
Paniro - 5th. Loses to Yianni in semis and Yayha in the Consi semis. Then beats Van Ness for 5th.
Kraisser - 1-2. Loses first match to Scott. Wins one on the back and then knocked out by Gfeller.
Carr - champ over otoole
Coleman - 5th. Loses to Keck in semis and then Romero I’m Consi semis. Beats Finesilver for 5th
Bastida - 1-2. Wins first round then loses to Laird and Coffey in the back.
Schuyler - 7th. Loses to Parris in quarters. Beats Harvard in blood round but then loses to Schultz. Beats Elam for 7th.

Team is 8th with 56. I have PSU winning going away followed by Nebraska at 2 and then Iowa and Missouri in 4th with 66. We’d really need Yonger to AA and also the other 4 to have a chance at a trophy. Top 10 seems very likely.

Everyone scoring points in this scenario with 4 AA's and one champ would be a great tournament. I agree with most of your predictions, but I am hopeful we at least get 2 wins out of Yonger.

I could be wrong and hopefully am but that seems really optimistic for Redding and Swiderski. Redding's atleast been to NCAA's before but Casey hasn't. If between them they won 6 matches or hell, even 4 matches, I would consider that a really nice showing. They do both seem to be peaking though, thank God.

I agree both are fairly optimistic. Redding’s wins are Palmer, Heilmann, and Phillippi. Heilmann is tough, and Redding lost a very close one to Phillippi.

Swiderski’s wins are Schwartz (who looked pretty hurt), Mattin and Demilio.

They definitely could drop out earlier, but none of those wins is a huge stretch.

Paniro can beat Yayah, didn't he go out of Big Tens with a concussion to Murin?

For anyone wanting an interactive bracket to mess around with:

Download the excel from the drop box, then put D (decision), M (Major), T(Tech), or F (Fall) by the name that you think is going to win and you can work through the brackets pretty quickly

Feels like Paniro is just stratching the surface with his potential. I am not saying its going to happen, but feels like he is the only one in the weight with the explosive power to give Yiani a real threat. I don't think its going to happen, but I am pretty confident with his mindset and the way he is wrestling that he will get 3rd.

133: 3-2 losing to Fix in the 2nd round then Ragusin in the blood round. Ragusin is beatable, and it is a night match so Redding could be full feed ready to unleash hell, but Ragusin is still tough.

141: 3-2 losing to Hart in the front and then Bartlett in the blood round. Beating Mosha in the first round is critical to Casey having a relatively easy path to the blood round.

149: 3rd place. I have Yianni beating Paniro in the semis, then Paniro beating Brock Mauller in the consi semis, and then getting revenge on Parco in the 3/4th place match.

157: 1-2 losing to Scott in round 1 and then Gfeller in the 2nd consi round.

165: 1st place beating Moody, Yant, Olguin, Monday, and then O'Toole

184: 4th place. I have Coleman losing to Keck in the semis, then beating Kaleb Romero in the consi semis before losing to Trent Hidlay in the 3/4 place match.

197: 6th place. I think we see a different Yonger in 2 weeks. I have him winning against Bockman, then losing to Laird. On teh backside I have him beating Caffey, Braunagel, and Sloan to get past the blood round. I then have him beating Dean to make the consi semis where he loses to Michael Beard. I have Silas Allred beating Yonger in the 5/6 place match.

Hwt: 7th place. I have Sam beating Davison to meet Parris in the quarters. Then I have Sam beating the Harvard guy to AA, and then losing to Cassiopi. He beats Elam for a third time in the 7/8 place match.

The way I filled the brackets out has Iowa State in 6th place, 0.5 points behind Mizzou for 5th. Penn State runs away with it at 120 points, Iowa gets 2nd at 83.5, Cornell and Nebraska tie for 3rd with 77.

If we get the good Yonger, Laird is a very winnable match.

Would love to see this from Yonger. Seems like a stretch to me, but definitely feasible if he’s physically and mentally ready.

This was Flo's consensus on last night's show too. They were super impressed with PJ at B12s & think he's a tough matchup for anybody in the bracket including Yianni

Seems Paniro’s lead leg is susceptible early and late in matches. He has been rock solid, defensively, in the middle. His own shots lately have been incredibly explosive, and he’s so strong it seems almost impossible to fight him off once he gets in.

Yianni’s flexibility and funk are equalizers.
