Agreed. Napoleon is a known figure, but usually it's only superficially. His story and place in history is pretty captivating.
Yeah, I am an avid reader of history, and you could read a thousand books on a topic and still come across new information, or the story from a completely different angle that changes your perspective or brings a new level of understanding.

Fuk yeah I'm in. Also interesting they're sampling a little from Radiohead 'Kid A' for the soundtrack that sounds pretty cool.

Did you know Napoleans penis was amputated during his autopsy? Some American currently owns it for what I assume is his private collection of privates.

Somehow in my schooling history I completely missed the whole Napoleon stuff. I don't think there was any European history taught in either of the high schools I attended. Or maybe it was an option and I opted for something different. We had the Egyptians, Greek, and Romans, but not much after that - All that European Kings and Norman invasion stuff was never clear to me.

I would definitely watch this if it were fairly accurate historically.

Just watched a six-hour (well it seemed that long) docu on Napoleon. So much I did not know about the man. The depiction of Bonaparte in the new movie clips seems to work from my reading.

There is currently a very long running podcast called the Age of Napoleon that is probably 60 hours or so if you really want to pull the deep dive.

The more I've gotten into history, the more I realized how concurrent/intertwined it is. I just finished reading "Washington. A Life." and I forget that Napoleon's lifespan was during that time.
