Mom, Traci -HS state record holder in throwing event, threw at wisconsin
Scott jr. -Notre Dame football, good HS basketball player at mason city
Sam- had a scholarship to wisconsin for football
John- will play wherever he wants

Were the Welter's up there good wrestlers and good baseball players? For some reason I thought they were state champ wrestlers and a couple of them had legit looks at the MLB.

Oh yeah. I'm not sure how many of them there were, but Clay and Cole were both good wrestlers (pretty sure they won a few titles, anyway) and damn good baseball players. I don't know of any others in that family; I'd never seen much of Don Bosco until their baseball team got really good when I was in high school.

Cherryl and Ellis - fantastic players at Mount Mercy
Morgan - All-Big10 basketball at Wisconsin (two-time all-state honoree in volleyball as well)
Marcus - 2nd Team All-American at North Carolina
