NFL: Moss waived by Vikings

Ok so if he does in fact have to go on waivers, does he have to agree to go to the team that tries to pick him up off of waivers or does he just automatically go there?

Ya, I'm sorry, Favre has been awesome this year with that 7:11 TD-INT ratio. Wow and that 69 QB rating is also off the charts!!!

If you don't think Favre has been a problem this year, then you better start actually watching the games without those purple tinted sun glasses.

I guess Drew Brees has sucked this year too and is the reason the Saints are not as good as last year (11 INTS)

And I guess Aaron Rodgers has sucked this year and is the reason the Packers aren't as good. (9 INTS)

Give me a break man. Favre cost the Vikings one game this year against the Packers but all you have to do is watch the game to realize he hasn't played as bad as his stats look. He has 3 picks off Harvin's chest. 1, 2, 3.

Mr Ego is going to be awesome on Dancing with the Stars, next season.....

Two questions....

Can he take his walker on the dance floor?

Is it wise to put him in the same room with all of the hot women they have on that show?

His cellphone bill will be outrageous from all of that texting and don't picture messages cost more......

I don't knwo where to start with this mess. I suppose if Moss is already in full melt down mode its unlikely to get him back so best to just dump him. On the other hand, although hes been no help yet hes still the best reciever on the team. I suppose whatever they do should be geared toward next year and beyond cause this year is hopeless. If they really think dumping Moss is in that vain, then so be it.

I too would like Childress gone but why the love affair for the D coordinator? I'm not impressed but can't be much less effective then Chilly.

Moving to LA? DAMN YOU FOR SAYING IT!

Frazier will be a HC somewhere soon, so clearly he's thought of highly. Also, perhaps you need a refresher on the Vikings' past D coordinators...time to learn from the mistake of letting them all go.

I tally that game on Brad Childress and his lack of using a challenge to bring back a TD. That ended up being huge.

Losing? He lost it a LONG time ago.

And in that case, Childress should be released too since he threw his team under the bus last week.

That's different. It's a one-way street. When coaches do it, they're telling it straight. When players do it, it's disrespectful.

I think it's really easy to see that Childress doesn't create an environment where grown men respect one another, and that hinders any sort of development. He comes across as an idiot that would be horrible to work for.

I'm pretty sure you are the only person in the world who doesn't think Favre has had his head up his *** all season long. Any other QB with his numbers would have been benched a long time ago. The only reason he is even starting over Jackson is because of his name and what he's done in the past.

That's a joke, right?

Spielman basically just handed New England a 3rd round pick.. And he's paying the OG 20 million this year to lead them down the toilet.

And Wilf seems like he just can't wait to sell that franchise.

And neither of them has the brass to step up and fire that ridiculous excuse for a coach and promote the guy that everybody else wants to hire. (Frazier)

Even without #s, it's clear to see from watching the games that he doesn't have it anymore. He's hit the wall hard.

Its not all on him. One of the best RBs in the NFL is struggling running the ball. Neither of the Vikings' lines have performed well, and it shows in the W/L column.

Sounds like Moss isn't the only one that spoke out...Harvin made some comments as well...this is from Yahoo Sports--

We already shared with you the comments made by Randy Moss(notes) after the Minnesota Vikings loss to the New England Patriots. Now it seems that Moss' teammate Percy Harvin(notes) is getting in on the not-so-subtle Brad Childress-bashing as well.
From the Minneapolis Star-Tribune:
Despite being limited, Harvin had a huge performance with six catches for 104 yards. Afterward, he questioned his team's lack of adjustments in the second half.
"In the second half they made a couple of adjustments, and I think we played into their hands," he said. "They were ready for a couple of our plays there in the second half. We didn't do a good job of making adjustments. That's why [Patriots coach Bill] Belichick is as good as he is. He makes those adjustments. They were able to pull it out."
Asked why the Vikings had problems doing that, Harvin smiled and paused for a few seconds. "It's a team effort," he said. "It's all of us, got to put a little more effort. It's little things."
It's safe to say that if Childress hasn't already lost the locker room, he's in danger of doing so very soon.

This. Although his numbers are terrible, you can tell that at least at this point in the season the guy just does not have "it". Maybe he'll make a 180 turn and be Super Favre next season, but through 8 weeks he looks lost more often than not.

Eh. I'm not going to give the current one that much credit. But, by all means try him out, can't be any worse. I just havent been to impressed.

I would argue that Wilf is one of the greatest (if not the greatest) owner in Minnesota sports history. And the front office has been doing a heck of a job building the team, especially through the draft.

Like most others, I think Childress (and his stubbornness) is a huge issue. That and not having a long term QB plan for for several years.

This is what I was referencing when saying he was losing the team. When players start making comments to the media, it's not good.

No, this kind of failing takes a whole team. What I'm saying, though, is that Favre clearly looks old, and looks like he just doesn't have his game anymore.

That doesn't mean it's all on him. There are plenty of problems.

Not to call you out or anything, but you do realize AP is leading the NFL in rushing yards, right? I don't know if I'd say he's struggling. He's been pretty solid if you ask me. And, no fumbles so far this year.
