This time from Stewart Mandel

Not a bad list. Good picks for the at-large teams, with Ball State having Northern Illinois this week that would get them to 7 wins, and New Mexico probably getting to 8 wins with a win over UNLV this weekend.

The only thing bad about the Big 12 getting 2 teams in BCS games it puts the Big 12 at a disadvantage in the other bowl games. It makes it appear the conference is not as good as it really is.

I see where you're coming from, but I think with Mandel's projections, even with the 2 BCS teams, the other matchups are pretty winable. I think the Big 12 really is that strong this year.

Tech can Beat Virgina, and Missouri should be able to beat Tennessee.

OSU vs Penn State and aTm vs Indiana I see the Big 12 taking 1 of the 2.

The tough games are OU vs USC, and CU/Nebraska vs Alabama.

When should we start predicting next year's bowls? Should we start tomorrow?

The top 4 in the Big 12 are as good as the top 1 or 2 in any other conference, IMO. After that, I think the middle 5 or 6 teams are all about the same. I don't think it really puts us at a disadvantage. It will mean a bit more, too, if our middle-of-the-pack teams are beating their upper-middle-of-the-pack teams.
