Last week I did not have Iowa State winning over West Virginia, therefore my destination for the Cyclones has not changed.

As most of you already know, the two biggest games that will impact all of the Big 12 bowl selections are "Kansas State vs. Texas" and "Kent State vs. Northern Illinois" ... I am projecting that Kansas State wins and Kent State loses.

IF Kent State wins AND is able to move up to #16 in the BCS Standings, which is likely but not necessarily guaranteed OR Kansas State loses to Texas OR if Oklahoma loses to TCU - THEN obviously the Big 12 would be only looking at one team in the BCS ...

IF that is the case, this is what I see as most likely scenario:

Tostitos Fiesta Bowl ... KANSAS STATE or OKLAHOMA vs. Oregon
AT&T Cotton Bowl ... KANSAS STATE or OKLAHOMA vs. Texas A&M
Valero Alamo Bowl ... TEXAS vs. Oregon State
Bridgepoint Education Holiday Bowl ... OKLAHOMA STATE vs. UCLA
Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl ... TEXAS TECH vs. Michigan State
Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas ... TCU vs. Purdue
New Era Pinstripe Bowl ... WEST VIRGINIA vs. Pittsburgh
Heart of Dallas Bowl ... BAYLOR vs. Minnesota
Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl ... IOWA STATE vs. Vanderbilt

At this point, and with the slide they are in, I wouldn't be surprised to see TCU picked over Tech for the BWW.

As always, computer poll 1/3 of the BCS rankings is the Big 12's only friend in the changing landscape of college football.

KSU is 6 in all 3 components. Every other Big 12 team is higher in computer ranking than both human polls. Human polls right now are propping up the MAC teams when in Oklahoma State is 3-8 spots higher than them in any computer ranking. If a MAC team doesn't get the AQ BCS spot, it'll be because computers know a team like OK State is better than them and voters don't.

Even our marquee name teams Texas and Oklahoma don't get the credit they earn for playing our 9 game schedule in a tough top to bottom league. Texas has been higher in computer ranking than voter opinion all season. Even sports writers who are biased toward the Texas brand name can't understand it's much harder to play TCU mid-season than have the SEC's week off against an FCS team late in the year.
