Cyclonettes???

Sorry to lette you down with this "dumb" post. Couldn't resist the comment while watching the Iowa High School girls' BB tournament last week. The IGHSAU was celebrating 100 years and it brought back memories of mascot names from "long ago". My favorite was the Everly Cattlefeederettes! (Poor geewago will really wonder what is in our corn..o_O)

Again I apologize for digressing from the thread title. No matter what you call the women's BB team from ISU, they are a special group of players. Looking forward to seeing & hearing Cyclone Nation cheer on the Cardinal & Gold this weekend at Hilton South. Go Cyclones!!

We know what's in your corn. You send too much of it down here in liquid form to contaminate our gas.:p

Because of her pending waiver application with the NCAA for one more year, she apparently won't be honored at Senior Night. I'm guessing Iowa State is pretty optimistic about the waiver or they probably wouldn't be doing that.
No new news, but here's a good article on Ines with an interesting tidbit at the end.

They’re trying to get Nezerwa, who’s listed as a senior, another year or even two of eligibility. They’re once again waiting to hear from the NCAA.

If they can convince the NCAA that get college time in Rwanda shouldn't count against her 5-year clock, she could in fact get two more years. I think that scenario is unlikely though.
