I understand what they are doing, and you are right some groups are very friendly to work with. But why would you even consider going into the student lot at a tailgate and be highly vocal and overly pushy.

I've seen it a few times.... the only reason for that behavior that I can come up with is that some people are just A-holes who believe it is their duty to tell everyone else how to live their lives.

The worst folks I have ever seen were the ones standing outside the stadium yelling at everyone 3 or 4 years back. Telling everyone they were going to burn in hell for the "sin" of drinking a few colds ones and watching a football game on a Saturday. I almost punched one guy after he called my friends' wife a ***** without any provocation, which of course is just what he wanted.

God Socks guy? always by the hub

Not who I was referring to actually, but I am pretty surprised that he is still around.

The other guy was just there once a year or something. He wouldn't engage you, just fire and brimstone.

I remember getting a book from them near Howe Hall explaining how the earth is only a few thousand years old and then another one explaining dinosaur bones. Funny stuff.

I think that would be Evangelicals who like to push the whole "Dinosaurs lived alongside men 5,000 years ago" thing. Actually alot of fundamentalist Christians have this weird belief as a way of explaining how fossils and prehistoric animals fit into their belief that the Earth is just a few thousand years old.

Yeah, they are kind of annoying, but today this student was a complete D-bag. He walks by the old guy and takes the bible. He then walks about ten feet to a trash can and yells "this is what I think of this Harry Potter bull ****" and then proceeds to rip the bible apart and throw it in the trash.

When I went to ISU I just told them I preferred the fire and brimstone god of the old testament over the hippie ever forgiving god a the new testament.

Just to be clear, all evangelicals are not fundamentalists.

I think that guy has some issues with some authority figure in his past.

I wanted to take one as if a handoff, and run it in for a touchdown, but all 4 that i passed decided not to hand any to me :(

last year, me and my roomates decided to keep messin with each other with them, we would place them on each others pillows, and when we were all in bed, a bible fight would tend to commence. ahhhh glory days

LMAO.

You just gotta learn to say no, just walking from my place I saw 8, and directly had to walk past, and say no to, 4 of them. And that was just from Welch & Lincoln Way to Gerdin.
Why say "no" when you could say "Sorry, I believe that Jesus was just a mortal man who saw the Jewish faith wanting to see a Messiah and decided to fulfill the role through quick handery. He's nothing more than an older David Blaine."

Watching their faces turn red or purple with rage was the best part.
