Is there anyone that remembers the way the Union's Trophy Tavern used to look, the study hall with all the vending machines and tables prior to 1996? There were images of all the Big 8 schools on the west wall (overlooking the terrace) including a large one of a classic Cy leaning on the MU.
I have that original painting, and am trying to learn more about the artist, Don Francois, who I presume was a student at ISU at some point. The painting was given to me, practically saved from a dumpster, at the time the MU (where I worked) was renovated in December 1995.
I graduated that month, and the painting went into storage. I later pulled it out and had it re-framed, giving it a place of honor in my home. Just wanted to learn more about it, if anyone could help. So far, I haven't encountered anyone else who even remembers it being there.
