I have not heard Ken say it, but my guess would be if asked, Ken would say Payton should go into the Hall of Fame as a Colt. The guy is extremely level headed.

I agree that he is level headed but I didn't ask about the HOF. Does he consider Payton a Bronco or a Colt? Right now.

Well Im sure he would say a Bronco, because he is.

However, if Payton had ALWAYS been a Bronco, would he be as far along in his professional career as he is right now? Similarly, if Keflezighi was born an American, would he have won the Boston Marathon? I believe that is essentially the point Ken was getting at.
