Testifying
On their email list now since I bought my tix thru them. I see your troll game, Arizona, and it's good.
(They also played Sweet Caroline minutes after the game)

Right, but 0%? In practice with no one he's making 10 at least. But to your point doesn't matter.

Edit: by drain it, I meant shoot 1000x better than expected. Poorly worded on my part.
It's a little lower than 5%

I'd never heard it before, but I don't necessarily think this is trolling us. A google search of stuff prior to this year shows a good number of results for "mckale magic"

a few examples:

And Sweet Caroline is certainly not exclusive to ISU lol.

Was it unusual for them to play Sweet Caroline? If so, then it was definitely part of a troll game.

Anyone who has seen the Harlem Globetrotters has seen similar shots made.
We watched the Globetrotters about 10 years ago. They were down 2 with 5 seconds left and the announcer was counting down the time. They inbounded the ball under their own basket and they were casually dribbling on the Generals' side of the court.

I'm watching it thinking to myself "I know it's a show, but they are not leaving any room for error on this one. Am I going to witness a rare Globetrotter loss?" With 2 seconds left, a guy launched a 3/4 court shot as time expired, and it hit nothing but net as the buzzer sounded.

I don't really know what plan B was if that didn't go in, but I came away really impressed by the stones it took to script that.

He could take the same shot, 100 times in practice, minus anyone guarding. I'm thinking 0%.
Either way, doesn't matter
strongly disagree. he can make that probably 10 times or more out of 100. it wasn't nearly as lucky as you people are insinuating (still unlikely but not freakishly lucky). he dribbled right to his spot and had his forward momentum going straight at the hoop. he hits the rim 9 out of 10 times in that situation.

it wasnt a 'foul or defend' decision. ISU didnt do either. the staff and team will learn from it.
