I think the BIG question is does CU give him a raise over what we pay him? I mean he is grossly overpaid but if they can fork out more for a coach than us that really looks bad.

I would think a sentence on them "Trying or Attempts" to ask the nature of the visit would be warrented. Being "unable to confirm" could mean anything. ..

no "unable to confirm" is newsreporter speak for they looked into it and couldn't get anyone to talk.

This is wild speculation, but it's not totally crazy to see McDermott taking the vacancy at Creighton now that Altman is going to Oregon. Mac knows the Missouri Valley like the back of his hand, he's won the conference more than once, he's a perfect citizen when it comes to coaches, and might want to get out of Dodge before he's pushed out. Creighton could do a lot worse.

Then Nurse, who just signed a contract with ISU, could get promoted to the head coaching position with a short contract and basically an opportunity to show he can or can't do the job.
