McDermott to Creighton?

Maybe the best question is then: Do we have any McDermott sightings, in ames, des moines, or otherwise that would establish his location either in des moines or not in des moines (so he couldnt be there for a meeting with Rasmussen)?

Why not Larry?

The only thing I am worried about with him is media perception. Would hate to have a bad image out there while he is recruiting, even though he has changed. Would not be opposed to a second chance.

Why not Larry? Because with Tinsley, we cut down nets. Without Tinsley, we were no better than we are now.

You mean your "********" blast......yeah that was real cool. :skeptical::nah:

Actually, itd be even more fitting, with all the other things in common with the Chiz departure. iirc, it was Geronimusclone who started the epic chizik interview thread, and everyone thought he was full of ****.. until stuff started to leak out...

Really hard to tell. He seemed to be back on track for future success when he got fired. He lost a lot from that 01 team and with WM bringing in the talent i think we were set to resume success in 03. Personally i think that 03 team wouldve been a tourney team under eustachy.

Makes me wonder, why haven't they taken down the fire-paul-rhoads site.

Perhaps they know that this latter site would never be taken seriously. After all, Paul Rhoads is a proven winner, with wins at Nebraska and over a legitimate BCS opponent in a bowl game. However, the former site was more than a nuisance, as Greg McDermott is a proven loser (no more than 15 wins in any season at the BCS level), so perhaps the site was drawing a bit too much attention to the ISU athletic department's unaddressed problems in this area.

Maybe McD cares more than Paul.

With Stinson and Blalock and Homan, if Larry had stayed we probably cut down another net...we'll never know, but he wasn't going to win it every year and he seemed primed for another run talent wise.

Go back to page four......there's a link to sportstalkmatt's twitter page(yes I know people don't like matt), he runs the Creighton talk site and he said GMAC is a target and said he is interested. Take that for what it's worth....
he also listed ben jacobson as a target..

IF he is gone I would rather have him leave voluntarily than to be fired for numerous reasons. That being said who would we hire? Who is available?

If you are interested.......Altman's contract at Oregon........7 years, 2 million per year. Plus, they will move into a new 220 million dollar arena next year.....thanks to Phil Knight.
