MBB tourney 1st timer

Hello,

I am looking for input as I’m planning to attend the tourney for the first time.

For those that have attended, I’m looking for ticket, lodging and transport tips.

Get an AirBnb south of the stadium. Easy walk. Costs less than a fancy nearby hotel, plus you get the amenities of an apartment.

I did it last year and plan to do so again this year.

If you’re getting a hotel book the DT Marriott.

Team stays at Marriott Downtown. Plenty of good options from Marriott, to Hotel Phillips to Loews. Easy walk from those places. Not really that difficult to park either if you want to stay down by the Plaza.

Tickets will be a little more difficult this year with Kansas, Kansas State and Iowa State all being good. Tickets are typically easy to find on Wednesday and usually one of the Thursday sessions. Friday is usually a difficult ticket. If KU, KSU and ISU are in the semi’s it will be $150/ticket to get in the door. I would buy tickets ahead of time through a donor if possible if you are planning to stay for the entire weekend regardless of how ISU plays.
