That doesn't preclude another show featuring her though. It just wouldn't be WandaVison.

It's hard to end things, even things like this which might be a kind of installment or season. We've seen it over and over when things don't end great. Episode 5 was clearly the best one IMO but that's because it primarily focused on Walker and Sam/Buck. I felt the flag smashers could have been really interesting but just weren't. Missed opportunity there but there will be additional snap related content I'm sure and they'll have more time to get it done. Sam had too many speeches - the stuff with Isaiah Bradley was great. Speech in front of the GRE was pretty hokey.
Ultimately I'm still more interested in this series and other Marvel stuff than I probably should be. I watched all of this and all of Wanda and if I'm not a liar I'm going to be watching dang near everything they put out. Zemo was great and we'll be seeing more of him. Power Broker was super on the nose but I'm happy for the character because she just didn't have much to do before and now she could be a kind of main foil going forward.

I originally didn’t like the Power Broker reveal but I couldn’t figure out why — but I think you guys nailed it. It wasn’t a reveal out of left field, it’s just kind of felt obligatory.
It might be a revelation that will get better as Phase 4 progresses though. Power Broker Carter seems like she’s a prime candidate to be outed as a Skrull, whereas the actual Sharon Carter is still out there somewhere, or worse, KIA during the 5 year blip gap.

I'm wondering if the Power Broker twist was a result of Cap's decision at the end of Endgame? All things remained the same, but Sharon's upbringing could have been altered ever-so slightly to perhaps explain this recent development. I won't rule that out as a possibility, as time-travel will be playing a theme in Loki and likely in Ant-Man 3 with the introduction of Kang the Conquerer

For me, I still overall liked the show even though some stuff hit in it for me, while other stuff didn't. Two of the biggest highlights for me was the Sam and Bucky arcs both individually and together, while a lot of the other storylines and characters had their moments, but were somewhat more uneven to even lacking. In the end, the story is called The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, so since it still did alright by both those characters in my eyes, its hard for me to look at the show as anything but a success overall. Yes, I still enjoyed Wandavision decently more I'd say than this show. However, lets not forget there too that outside of the Wanda and Vision character arcs, much of the other stuff ended up rife with varying levels of disappointment.
Regardless, it seems like most fans are responding well enough to both shows to the point where we can probably all get behind what Feige is trying to pull of with these Disney+ shows. The potential is clearly there and they are going about it the right way, even if they are leaving a few things on the table in the meantime. It just means there is room for improvement.

Good point. Really like where the characters were left off with both Sam/Bucky/Wanda. Ultimately I don't think they care as much about their villains.
I mean WandaVision had the ridiculous Evan Peters/Quicksilver thing then just totally hand waved it as Ralph Boehner. There has been some straight up stupid stuff in each of these shows. I mean the movies struggled with some of this at first too, they'll get it figured out. I wonder if they were under pressure to get some stuff out here at first to bolster Disney+ too.
I also want to say I listen to the Ringer-Verse podcast and they have two African American guys who host the Friday show and from what they've said and what I've seen online I think there might be some really meaningful stuff in here for black audiences that just doesn't ring as well for me. And that's totally fine. Black Panther is a great MCU movie but it isn't my favorite, and it's extremely meaningful to a lot of black people in this country and around the world. With the MCU universe expanding not everything needs to be equally meaningful to everybody.
I think the shows will continue to improve when they don't have to cut and reshoot things due to a pandemic.
I’d hardly be surprised if the Evan Peters = Bohner thing didn’t eventually prove to be a red herring they revisit with a reveal a few movies/shows down the line.
It’d be just another seed Marvel planted to pay off years later.
If this is true (I believe it is), I think that it's telling what things they chose to or felt they had to leave in, even if they were a little misjointed. I think it tells you something about where the overarching arch of the MCU is headed.
I don't think we should read too much into it honestly. Every production has reshoots and stuff but all of that was harder. There were shows that were absolutely ruined by the writer's strike (Heroes was a show I really liked that went south almost immediately due to this) so the fact that they put out two shows at are at least pretty good I think is a testament to them and the leadership over there.
I too feel like the pandemic reshoots hurt the characterization of the villains especially Karli. The rumored plot of a released or manufactured virus would have provided the perfect thematic foil to the flag smashers. The Flag Smashers are about globalization and erasing boarders: "One world, one people". As we've seen, a global pandemic crosses borders by definition, but causes nations to lockdown travel across borders. Ultimately what we got felt like Karli was a kid that got a shiny new toy and didn't know what to do with it. Not much to empathize with like other great Marvel villains.
The Power Broker also feld unearned. The plot within a plot double agent Sharon played was very week. I wish they showed her accessing Shield tech or super surim plans instead of a pardoning hearing. How cool would it be to end with Sharon in Shield pulling up files on Steve, Isaiah, and Bucky.

Also, curious if the original plan for the virus was planned by the Power Broker. Would definitely change her arch if she was involved with a manufactured pandemic rather than just trying to get her hands on the serum.

It's a different kind of reveal, because the only one she revealed it to is dead. It feels different. Not bad, but different, because that's not what we're used to seeing. Sharon did the reveal without revealing anything.
I forgot to mention in my sentiments on the series that the Isaiah Bradley stuff was also some of the best stuff in the series, which also played an important role into Sam's evolution as well. That was good storytelling and led into some really good dialogue.
Yes! I felt that Carl Lumbly stole the scenes whenever he was present. It helps that the writing was great but I thought he really took the emotion to another level.
That scene with Sam taking him to the museum might be the best in the entire series
Very powerful moment. I did not expect to be moved by this series, but that moment was such a great payoff. Many manly tears were shed.
Maybe the most impactful part of that whole Isaiah storyline was how closely it related to real-life historical testing on black people and black soldiers:
