I was so annoyed seeing all those Gopher fans sitting in the student section. I think they should make those tickets non-transferable and let season ticket holders take them if the students aren't going to be there. Of course, I have no idea how they'd enforce that but I'm just ranting anyway.

Yeah, students have to buy break-games separately; we aren't given them as a part of the season ticket package. I believe the Athletic Department sells break games either separately or as part of a package (hence...all the Gopher fans getting good seats).

The students don't get tickets to games over break. Anyone had the opportunity to purchase those tickets.

Time to fix that. Block off those sections behind the basket during break and send an email to season ticket holders and NCC members reminding them that they are for sale. After a deadline passes, THEN open them to the public. JP should be on top of that.

My bad. Still annoying though. Oh, and giving me negative rep for that post is lame. Just because it pisses me off to see the opposing team have more fans around the floor than we do deserves negative rep? I wasn't bashing students, just making a suggestion (which, admittedly, was a dumb one now that I know all the facts)

you gotta sell them somehow - you want to make the money whether its Iowa State fans or Minnesota fans in the seats. But I do think there should be SOMEWAY to open them up to Iowa State fans FIRST.

Exactly.
