Review St. Louis | James Gammon, Manager Lou Brown in “Major League” Dies at Age 70 | Movie Reviews, Entertainment Reviews, HD Trailers and Everything St. Louis

Don't know if this was posted before. This was just a classic movie.

[The Indians General Manager calls minor league coach Lou Brown at Tire World to offer him a position with the Indians]
Charlie Donovan: How would you like to manage the Indians this year?
Lou Brown: Ooooh, Gee, I don't know...
Charlie Donovan: What do you mean, you don't know? This is your chance to manage in the big leagues.
Lou Brown: Let me get back to you, will ya, Charlie? I got a guy on the other line asking about some white walls. I'll talk to you later.

RIP James Gammon

Still my favorite movie. Coach Brown had perhaps the deepest voice ever heard.

"Come on Dorn, get in front of the damn ball! Don't give me this "olé" bull$$$$!

Lou Brown: Taylor, it's not your job to make excuses. That's all you guys do good! It's either a *leg* thing or a *spiritual* thing, or a *psychological* thing, or a *heart attack*!
Jake Taylor: Who used heart attack?
Lou Brown: Me.
[collapses from a heart attack]

Sorry, had to be done  We'll miss you, Lou...

"Lou, would you like to come manage the Cleveland Indians?"
"I don't know, i got a guy that is pretty excited about a set of white walls on the other line"

One of my favorite lines from that movie

I found the part where he wizzed on Dorn's contract particularly humorous.
