There is a new maid rite in Webster city. It's good but it's expensive. they have a bacon cheese rite that is worth every penny. I could eat one every day until I die.

...is the Maid Rite still there in Tama? Used to stop there on the way to Ames during college, and on the way back too.
The food wasn't out of this world, but it always hit the spot.
To this day, even though it's a chain, I still value eating at local places in small communities.
I grew up in Iowa but currently live in Minnesota. My wife who is from here has never heard of Made Rite Sandwhiches. I need someone to dust off my memory banks. In grade/junior high I remember Made Rites being on the menu. Were these a glorified Sloppy Joes, or were they a different sandwhich? My wife is making Sloppy Joe's tonight and I told her you mean Made Rite?
