According to Rhoads. Hopefully not an indicator of how things will go in OL again this year
Sounds like it's career ending. Sad.
Feel bad for him. They put in so much time in the off season and hate to see it end on the first day of fall camp. Tough break for the senior.
Welp that sucks
I know its a violent sport and these things happen...but dang...senior year and ready to roll

Ben Loth knee injury a bad one. Rhoads says his career is over.
Wow. Feel for him for sure. Wish him well in his recovery.
Good luck in the future Ben. Cyclone nation was lucky to have you
feel terrible for him, can't imagine putting all that hard work in to be done a month before the first game. Especially since it sounded like they were semi hopeful it wasn't a season ending injury earlier this week.
****. Terrible news for the kid and the team
We are Iowa State. Can't catch a break. Best of luck to him. Hopefully this is motivation for the guys to play inspired for him.
Well, at least we know what we need to do. same stuff different day.
Can Campos do any center work?
The bad part was it was a non-contract drill I think. Feel bad for him, being a senior and all. Cyclones really don't seem to have a lot of luck with the OL lately.
Bummer. Was he backup center?
Lalk is a capable backup
Yup, Lalk has been taking his reps with the 2nd team since his injury, IIRC. He will do well but that still stinks for Ben and the team as a whole.
Hopefully this question doesn't matter at all this year. We need Tom Farniok on every play.
Yeah, and if last year was any indication, Lalk was probably going to play over Loth if Farniok went down.
Just a guess, but I think that Severs would have eventually beaten Loth out too.
